Osteopaths use their hands to both investigate and treat the cause of the complaint. This is done using a variety of techniques. They may include massage, mobilisation, stretching, and high velocity thrusts to improve joint motion and tissue health., and manipulating the musculoskeletal system, to promote the body's natural ability to heal itself.
Osteopathy is suitable for people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly, and can be effective in treating a variety of conditions such as muscle spasms, joint pain, sports injuries, postural issues, and chronic pain. At Chesham Osteopathic Clinic, we offer specialised osteopathic care for pregnant women, babies, and children, helping them achieve optimal health and well-being through safe and gentle treatment techniques.
At your first appointment, I will take your medical history and examine you to determine if and how treatment can help. If treatment is the best way forward, we may begin immediately.
