Having grown up in Birmingham, David moved to London in 1998 to study Osteopathic Medicine at the British College Of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM). Four years later he graduated with a 2:1 honours degree. David juggled his studies around his passion for sports. Whilst at the college he played hockey for Bournville HC in the National League and also played for England U21. In 2001 David suffered a serious back injury which kept him off the pitch for three years. He continues to play hockey now for Teddington HC in National division 1. As well as playing, David is also a level 1 hockey coach and is involved with Gerrards Cross HC and Buckinghamshire county. Continuing with his love of sport last year David completed a 2 year post graduate diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine at Queen Mary University, London. Many of the lecturers are leading experts in the field of Sports Medicine and the course is very well recognised. During the course David had the opportunity to observe the treatment of some world class athletes. David hopes to develop the sports injury side of the clinic. He already works with Chesham RUFC and many other athletes in the area. | ||||||||||||||||||||||
